- _c_h_l_a_b_e_l resets the security labels of the files specified by the listed
- _p_a_t_h arguments to the value specified by _l_a_b_e_l. Unprivileged users may
- only specify a label that is equal to that of their current process
- label. A user with CCCCAAAAPPPP____MMMMAAAACCCC____UUUUPPPPGGGGRRRRAAAADDDDEEEE capability may specify a label that
- is more sensitive or of lower integrity than the current process label. A
- user with CCCCAAAAPPPP____MMMMAAAACCCC____DDDDOOOOWWWWNNNNGGGGRRRRAAAADDDDEEEE capability may specify a label that is less
- sensitive or of higher integrity than the current process label. A user
- with CCCCAAAAPPPP____FFFFOOOOWWWWNNNNEEEERRRR capability may change the label of a file that is not
- owned by that user. The _s_u_p_e_r_u_s_e_r may do any of these things.
-
- The _c_h_l_a_b_e_l command has the following options:
-
- ----ffff A user with CCCCAAAAPPPP____MMMMAAAACCCC____RRRREEEELLLLAAAABBBBEEEELLLL____OOOOPPPPEEEENNNN capability may use this option to
- change the label of an open file, or specify a label with _e_q_u_a_l
- sensitivity or integrity. This option should be used with care.
-
- ----mmmm Make a file's label _m_o_l_d_y. This option only applies to directories,
- and causes them to perform multi-level redirection of pathname
- lookups. A label is not specified when using the ----mmmm option.
